Self Esteem

Self Esteem is how we value or perceive ourselves. If you have a low self-esteem you may feel like you hate or dislike yourself, you may feel worthless or feel  you aren’t good enough. You may not be able to make decisions or assert yourself.

You will probably blame yourself for things that aren’t your fault. You may even feel like no one likes you. You will be low in confidence and unable to recognise your strengths, and perhaps feel undeserving of happiness.

What affects our self-esteem is different for everyone. It usually is lowered after a difficult experience or a series of negative events, such as being bullied or abused, losing your job, finding it difficult to find employment, stress, Illness, difficult relationships or a separation or divorce.

Hypnotherapy & Self Esteem

You may even have had low self-esteem for as long as you remember. If this is the case it can be hard to recognise how you feel and make changes to challenge yourself.

Whatever the cause, it’s important to remind yourself that you have the right to feel good about who you are.

Hypnotherapy is one of the best ways to overcome self esteem. It acts on the subconscious where negative thoughts about yourself lurk, so it impacts on the powerful  subconscious to make beneficial changes to your way of thinking.

While you may have moved on from past hurts and disappointments that would have left emotional scars, your subconscious can hold onto them  and those memories will contribute to your low self esteem.

Time To Relax…

Having a Hypnotherapy session can help those scars finally heal and allow you to forgive yourself. The past doesn’t need to be your future.

The most important thing is to relax, keep an open mind and believe that positive changes can and will happen when you put your brain in the best possible state to create new neuro-pathways in the brain
